So - updated a couple of installations of my now debateably favourite CMS solution because - long story short - they didn't work properly and I was out for a fix, the support community seems to have gone into hibernation and I was fishing for a result alone.

Finally we hack the darn thing into functionality and what do I read?  Luvverly!  We are trashing the existing PHPWS for something soooooooo much better.  Honest!  Really cool and everything!  The loss of all the mods and hacks you used to date so that everything needs to start from scratch again we will just gloss over because its all just so much better.
Sorry - define better, OK?  And if it was that bad before, who was the dork that OKed it for release?

Thus we will infuriate the entire working population of the users community to the point where they could kick a coder to death barefoot (if one could be found) whilst laughing like a lunatic as all of our work to date just became outdated.

Joomla is looking really good just now.  I really think I need to switch to a more stable, reliable solution.  The bummer is that things were finally coming together, but seemingly this was just a prelude to it all blowing apart.  On the forum for the system there is a post that said "What do you want from version 2?"
I replied "Backward compatability"

Some hope based on experience.....and just to make it even betterer, its going to have a new name.  I got a few suggestions but I expect the profanity filter will block them.
