Obviously this cannot be literally true for everyone, or if it was (at least for some of us) then the Cypriot authorities should be paying me a fortune to solve the water shortage by washing the thing daily whilst tourist based organisations paid me even more to leave it dirty.
However, knowing Cyprus, the authorities would prefer to pay a relative of one of the ministers, or indeed any local at all, twice as much to wash his car instead of mine even if he did not actually enjoy my special relationship with the Big Guy ....but not to worry though as the tourist organisations would burn my car for me anyway. We lack the attention span for meaningful negotiation over here.
Still, I shouldnt really grumble as things are finally perking up after the post-euro gloom that we crawled out of just in time to be hit by the world economic crisis and the collapse of tourism and the failing property market.
Honestly, God, I admit it is kind of funny but give us an occasional pause for breath even if maybe we do kind of ask for this sh#t over here.
The usual response to falling custom in Cyprus is to up the prices in order to avoid making a loss. Half as many customers paying twice as much.
Go figure the idiot-logic behind that one.
The really good news for me is that the return of HTML seems to me on a roll and this is well cool as I find it much more fun to work with although it slows down the "production line" quite a bit.
Its simple, effective, versatile and looks good as well as offering navigation and interactive options that PHPWS and it´s friends wish that they had thought of first.
Point to mention, though, I am banging this in at work in a quiet moment. Had this site been HTML then I would need my laptop and less secure access to the internet than I enjoy here to make this update.
What I like, I like - but it has to be admitted that "horses for courses" remains the most significant issue here.
